ZERO CARBON AUSTRALIA PROJECT: Researchers

Description: The backbone of our work is our research plans creating a blueprint for the future of Australia. The Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Project is being carried out by BZE in partnership with the University of Melbourne Energy Research Institute.
This is an enormously exciting project. It provides an opportunity for us to produce a concrete and viable blueprint for Australia to comprehensively address our emissions in all sectors, in line with what is required according to the current climate science to provide the best chance of ensuring a safe climate future.
Version 1 of the Stationary Energy sector plan has already been published and has won a Banksia award for environmental research.
There is an enormous amount of work involved, and a wide range of tasks from organisation, research, liaising with other groups and individuals, and documentation.
The sectors currently being worked on are:
1.Transport
2.Buildings
3.Land Use/Agriculture/forestry
If you have any expertise in these sectors, we want to hear from you. No matter what your talents, we are sure to find a way to utilise them. Absolutely anyone who shares our zero emissions vision should get involved! To apply click here and scroll down to the application form.

Our goal is to transform Australia from a 19th century fossil fuel based economy to a 21st century renewable powered clean tech economy. Through the Zero Carbon Australia project BZE is researching climate solutions that are in line with the science.
