Education for a renewable energy future with Arnaud Gallois, Daniel Bray and Mark Stedwell

In these three interviews, we look at courses you can take for the sustainable future.
We have Arnaud Gallois from Melbourne University, Daniel Bray from Latrobe University and Mark Stedwell from Gippsland TAFE.
We need new skills and people who can draw on several disciplines to ride the waves of change. Last week we heard about the Latrobe Valley and the ways in which workers there are preparing for the renewable energy future. Today we find out about some of the courses of study available to prepare for that future.
BZE's Vivien Langford speaks to Arnaud Gallois, lecturer in Environmental studies at the University of Melbourne.
Arnaud talks about the need for courses that look at environmental, sustainability and climate change issues and describes the aims and structure of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the University of Melbourne.
Beyond Zero Emissions's Vivien Langford talks to Daniel Bray from the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Latrobe University.
Daniel describes the Global Environmental Politics course being run and discusses some of the issues it covers including the tension between economic growth and environmental protection and the shift towards ideas of sustainable development.
BZE's Vivien Langford speaks to Mark Stedwell, Program Manager of the Energy Training Network, Gippsland TAFE.
Mark talks about the skills gap in the clean energy industry and the ways in which the Energy Training Network is working with industry to bridge this gap. Mark also talks about the TAFE courses available to people who want to reskill or upskill for the sustainable future.
