Why donate?

Our organisation is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit group. We run on a small budget and the goodwill of our supporters. Donations help expand our campaign effort and get our important message out faster.

What your donations are spent on:

• Rent - maintaining an office space is vital to running a professional campaign but it is also our largest financial drain. Rent is currently paid out of the pockets of our lead campaigners and is our number one priority to cover.
• Campaign expenses - phone calls, fuel, printing, venue hire, banners, stickers all are constant costs borne by the campaign and campaigners. These costs can be a limiting factors at times.
• Office equipment - we currently have a functioning office based around secondhand equipment with some new items but are looking to slowly upgrade both our capacity and performance.
• Wages - BZE is currently staffed by volunteers, however, it is our goal to have a small core of paid staff to run our organisation. Our first priority is to employ an admin officer.
• Expansion - our Melbourne office and campaign are now running well but we need to get this message into other major population centres. When resources allow we will expand into other states.

Though we are a not-for-profit organisation we have chosen not to apply for tax deductible status. We want an unrestricted voice to identify groups and individuals who are contributing either a negative or positive effect on the planet.
